hi,
i'm trying to start my motor with dellorto phbl 24 AD with no success.
i already run it, but i had one air leak from seal ( stator plate side ). change it and now doesn't run.
at that time, i adjust air and idle screw and was running.
already try with and without air filter. put some petrol in cylinder ( spark ) and nothing.
spark is working, have petrol, etc....
can anyone help me with with settings to this carb???
ask to other guy for jets, tried low as 72 and nothing. can't keep it working, with and without filter...
try all kind of configuration adjusting air and idle, 1/2 turn steps... no can do
one friend that races here in Portugal, told me i think that 24mm is too much! maybe 21mm or 19mm is enough!!!

that's what i don't understand, why my is not working well .... i don't want to spend more maney on new carb....
tell me your set up please: exhaust, filter, jets, manifold length and if possible number of turns of air idle screw ( this value only so i have point to start )
Can the exhaust make diference??? i have polini racing "" banana ""
I'll try more during this weekend, if not able.... i'll give up
thank you once again pat, for your great patient and help

i did clean, dismantled piece by piece
that exhaust is similar to the one i have, correct??
what about the first start?? you saw my video, it's start but run it, puff....
how many turns at AIR screw ( the one with NO spring ) did you open ( turn left ) ??
pat_96 ha scritto:i suggest it's the second posizion from the top
ok.
it seems, that at my last carb cleaning / dismantle, i forgot to remove fuel banjo....
this evening, i was cleaning few parts for assemble and decided to clean phbl 24 again. but this time, i took the banjo out.
this is what i found:
is that dirt or some kind of composite filter material?????
if it's dirt, don't know what to say... maybe the problem of tuning for full throttle is here?!?? fuel doesn't get to the float chamber with enougt speed or quantity to operate because of that, blocking the way!!!!!!
the carb never run outside, only at my garage with engine at my working bench.... bought it brand new......
can the same guy lol or someone else confirm this to me???
i have 2 more carbs here, and non of them has that " dirt or sand or whatever that is " in it!!!!
thanks again
